Alternative Furnishings, in business since 1998 is owned and operated by McKinney native, Charm Cameron.

The collection at Alternative Furnishings is an alternative to the ordinary. It has evolved into an eclectic mix of art and antiques including furniture, decorative pieces, and architectural elements. Most pieces are from India having been constructed during the British influence (mid to late 1800's). Others are from England, Mexico, Morocco, Guatemala, France, Belgium, Germany, and the good ole U.S.A. We're always looking for "different and unique" pieces. We don't like to have what everyone else has.

Our services also include decorating. We decorated a Parade Home in Frisco and the house was voted Best of the Show by the public attending. The home featured at least thirty pieces of antique architectural items from Alternative Furnishings.

People come from near and far to check out the weekly additions to our inventory. Some of our biggest repeat customers come from out of state. We sell to the public, to designers, and to builders. We give consideration to the trade.

Join us every second Saturday night from 7 P.M. to 10 P.M. for Downtown McKinney's ART WALK featuring live entertainment, refreshments and local fine artists.
